Cinnamon Shore is proud to be home of the 2009 Southern Living Idea House. The honor was announced in February of this year, and we have been working hard to bring the amazing plans and beautiful designs to life.
“We had a desire to do a different place,” said Derick Belden, executive editor with the popular interior design magazine.
“I see this beautiful ocean, the dunes and I know we chose the right place.”
“It has great soul, a great environment and it uses the beauty of the land sensitively,” Belden said.
The Idea House was designed by Dungen Nequette Architects and features interior designs from Tracery Interiors.
The house features:
- 5 bedrooms, 51/2 baths
- 3,700 square feet
- Main living room, kitchen on second floor for the view
- Two master bedrooms
- Designed to sleep more than one family (16 people total)
The Idea House is open for tours from June 6th to September 27th
Hours are:
Wednesday thru Saturday 11AM to 5PM and Sunday 1PM to 5PM
The house will be closed on Monday and Tuesday.
Admission price is $5 per person with a portion of the proceeds benefitting the Port Aransas Education Foundation.
