Fishing Charters and Duck Hunts
Bay, Gulf and Flounder Charters and Duck Hunts
Make fishing fun and join Captain Tray on a chartered fishing adventure that will give you a memory of a lifetime. When you book a Captain Tray charter, you’ll be fishing the blue waters of the Gulf of Mexico for Grouper, Snapper, Kingfish, Sailfish and Blue Marlin, just to name a few.
Whether it be bottom fishing for big grouper and snapper or on the troll for dolphin, wahoo and tuna–to the granddaddy of them all, “The Blue Marlin”–offshore fishing is the ultimate sport, because you never know what you have on the other end of that line until you see it!
For a change of pace, try a flounder charter. Flounder gigging has been Captain Tray’s passion for 18 years. Flounder trips are great for everyone, and Tray has yet to see anyone not have the time of his or her life in the 18 years he’s been running flounder charters.
**Note: All persons 17 and older are required to have a Texas fishing license and saltwater stamp on ALL trips. We advise getting these before the scheduled fishing day.**

Captain Tray Clark
In 1978, Tray began visiting Port Aransas to see his grandmother. He loved Port Aransas and the Gulf of Mexico fishing so much that he moved down to Port A from North Texas in 1991, and he has been a resident ever since.
Tray, a lifelong avid fisherman, has over 20 years of experience fishing the Gulf of Mexico. He has been the captain of the motor vessel The Cherokee, a 46ft Bertram sport fishing boat, since he received his US Coast Guard Captain’s License from the United States Merchant Marine Academy, in 1996. Prior to pursuing his career as a full time captain, Tray was a diesel mechanic for several years. For the past ten years, he has worked with Texas Parks and Wildlife and the University of Texas Marine Science Institute helping them conduct live collections for their research efforts.
Learning to find the patterns that predict the tendencies of fish becomes second nature to great captains like Tray. These patterns can only be seen after years of observation and a lifetime of fishing in the Gulf of Mexico. Tray has many secret spots and knows where to find the fish!
Tray’s number one concern is safety, and he takes the time to review safety precautions with his customers and teach them proper technique to make their angling experience easier and fun.
