This 3,900-square-foot, five-bedroom masterpiece graces the pages of the June issue of Texas Monthly. But the pages come to life as you walk through the rooms while the home is open for tours this summer – starting Thursday, May 25th and open through Labor Day.
With sail-white exteriors and charming architectural details inside and out, the home is now a landmark at Cinnamon Shore that you won’t want to miss! The home is open 10 a.m to 5 p.m. Tuesdays-Sundays; closed Monday for cleaning. Tour-takers will be eligible for a free condo stay at Cinnamon Shore during the off-season!
You’ll see three stories worth of design ideas and building solutions that can translate to your space – wherever you live. Check out the all-weather decking, furnishings, and accessories on the two-story, wrap-around porches and the darling third-floor covered porch, where a handcrafted swing offers Gulf views. Take notes inside the light-filled, beachy-yet-sophisticated interiors. Be inspired by the thoughtful details and custom-crafted pieces that designer Carrie Brewer of Brewer Design Solutions came up with to give this home a coastal contemporary look.
Brewer incorporated gorgeous selections from products sponsors, including gleaming bathroom fixtures, state-of-the-art appliances, contemporary lighting, custom cabinetry and countertops, and furnishings that suit the Gulf-side setting. A mix of coastal-theme and abstract artwork, exquisite tile work, and luxury bedding creates a comfortable elegance throughout. A guest room features a pair of double beds suspended by rope, while a nautical bunk room boasts fun built-ins. And check out the sumptuous master suite and third-floor getaway suite with gauzy drapes and walk-in closet that feels like a dressed-up attic space with style.
Throughout the home, wood details such as exposed beams and rafters give the new home soul. A 200-year-old barn beam strung with light bulbs is suspended over the kitchen island. And the master suite features a wood detail that resembles stacked wooden palettes for an interesting texture and wall treatment. Designed by Davies Collaborative, the house stands in a central location at Cinnamon Shore, just across from the Great Lawn and steps from the Dune Pool.
At the heart of the community, it embodies the best of Cinnamon Shore – a space that accommodates multi-generations, with five bedrooms, areas to gather, and rooms to rest and relax, not to mention a custom elevator that takes guest from the first to third level with ease. A charming railing detail on the second floor porch adds character and makes the porches distinctive, while a central tower feature punctuates the gabled roofline.
