The Thrill Seeker's Spring Break

parasailinginportaransas

It’s mid-march and the holidays are long gone, but summer still seems so far away. The Texas heat is creeping in, giving you and your family visions of backyard BBQs, tan lines, and cannon ball competitions. You started the New Year off strong, and so far, you’ve kept up with every single one of your resolutions. (Okay, maybe just most of them.) The kids have earned their Spring Break, and let’s face it, you have too.

Finding a vacation destination that caters to the entire family is no easy feat. You have some family members who want nothing more than to relax in the peace and quiet, and some that plan on spending all of their waking hours building the largest sandcastle in Port Aransas history. But what about those who want a little adventure this Spring Break? At Cinnamon Shore, there are countless ways to check items off that bucket list.

Keep reading for our top experiences for the adventurer in your family.

Get Your Sea Legs on an Offshore Fishing Trip

Local fishing charters like Dolphin Docks Deep Sea Fishing host trips ranging from 4 hours to 12 hours, allowing you to pick the perfect option for your Spring Break schedule. Check out their Facebook page for more photos of recent catches (like this 256 lb Mako Shark).

Fly High on a Parasailing Adventure

Take in some of the best views of Port Aransas with local parasailing groups like Chute ‘Em Up Parasailing. Both adults and children can fly, and there are observer rates for those who would rather snap Facebook photos from the boat.

Learn to Surf

Earn all the cool points by learning to surf with Texas Surf Camp. Group and private lessons give you the freedom of getting your feet wet with a group or in a one-on-one setting.

Go Skydiving

Is there a better adrenaline rush than free falling from an airplane? Skydive South Texas offers dives for $225, with Freaky Cheap Friday dives for $195. If your birthday happens to fall within one week of your dive, you get a free t-shirt (so you can tell your friends and strangers about it).
