Memorial Day Weekend at Cinnamon Shore

We Remember the Reason for this 3-Day Weekend 

It's become a time to kick off summer, falling as it does near school's end. We celebrate the coming season with all the s'mores, the beach time, and swimsuit fun. But at Cinnamon Shore we take time to remember the sacrifices that allow American such freedom and joy.

The holiday began in the wake of the Civil War and has become an official way to honor men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Take Part in Our Tribute to the Fallen

Last summer, we invited the local chapter of the VFW to join us for a Saturday dinner on the North Town Center over Memorial Day weekend. Guests signed a special flag with the names of family members or friends they want to remember who paid the ultimate price to preserve our country and freedoms.

We plan to continue the tradition next summer. Look for more details as the weekend approaches, but plan to be here for a full roster of beach activities and family fun, but also to honor the fallen.
