Our grandest green space makes a great venue for Radney Foster for this free evening of music and fun.

Foster grew up in Del Rio, Texas, and one of his most recent songs recounts playing music on a back porch with family and friends. From that background, he has emerged as one of Texas' strongest voices, making music and producing songs for more than 40 years.

His most recent project, For You To See The Stars, combines his love of music and literature--a 10-track album paired with a short story collection. Each story matches a song on the album, illuminating something of what it means to be alive. As Fosters says on his web site:

“For me, the goal of writing is always to touch that one person so much that they wonder how I got a peek into their living room--how I understood exactly what they felt. More than just rhyming or having a pretty melody, I try to express a part of the human condition that can make someone want to laugh, cry, make love, or all of the above.”

For You To See the Stars is just the latest from his creative mind, adding to the legacy of his music and powerful storytelling skill.
